The Association for the Promotion of Youth Culture in Dortmund e.V., better known as the Skateboard Initiative Dortmund, has been registered as a nonprofit organization in the Register of Associations since 2008.
In addition to serving as a voice for the local and regional skateboarding community in dealings with policymakers and public institutions in the city of Dortmund, the association has managed the indoor skatepark—the Dietrich-Keuning-Haus Skatepark—since 2012.
